I have written this book so that the average Christian can learn that walking in the Spirit of God is the only way to have and achieve the abundant life that Christ promised to us. Many people today shy away from and are even afraid of the Holy Spirit. They assume that if they investigate the works and the power of the Spirit that they will be labeled a "religious nut" or be lumped together in a group as a Charismatic by their friends and loved ones. But Christ gave us the Holy Spirit to live within us-to help us and to comfort us. It is of vital importance that we become aware of the Holy Spirit and his divine work in the believers' life. This book does not deal with the issue of tongues as this was not pertinent to the abundant life through the Spirit which is the foundational message of the book. I am confident that you will gain valuable knowledge of the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit and that this book will encourage you to be a more dynamic and Spirit filled Christian.

Over the last two decades, Christians have lost their respect and adoration for the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Some are even afraid to draw closer to Him, for fear of being labeled and associated with the Charismatic movement. This book has been written to educate the believer in the functions of the Spirit and His power and work in the believers life. Through the Holy Spirit, we can have a more meaningful relationship with Christ, and we can live the abundant life that Christ promised to those who would walk in the Spirit.
